been a lot of places, seen a lot of faces...

sorry for the lack of updates, i was working on something. and by something i mean fallout 3, fuck this game smokes, well worth the decades-long wait since fallout 2 (probably my favorite game of all time). finally i have a reason to stop playing gay ass ANIMAL CROSSING. anyway today i'm going to post a video of my own band, i'll do this from time to time if there's something noteworthy about the vid

so this is us playing some place called "L'HOTEL DE MUSIQUE" or some shit in marseille, france. this is the only show we played in france. people often ask me, "how was france? were the people there assholes?" surprisingly not, in fact compared to all the places in europe we played the people here were super nice. sick language barrier though, most of europe has had the decency to learn english, but not france!

what do i remember about this experience... well, my day in france pretty much began with me sleeping in the loft of the van, like i usually did. it smelled like shit up there but it was dark and quiet and i could lay down so i dug it. i woke up to a lot of banging and strange sounds from the van, i yelled to the front (the loft was totally seperate from the rest of the van) "HEY WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON OUT THERE" and our driver, jeroen (a super tall 36 year old straight edge dutch dude, dead center in the video, still trying to get like $750 out of us to this day) yelled back "SHUT DE FUCK UP JUSTIN!!!" this was a while into the tour and he was already sick of my shit. we went to a french supermarket and bob got caught stealing a coke, he weaselled his way out of it though. we ate pasta at some french kid's house then went to this show.

they had a lot of food and drink for us at this place, it was sweet. the openers were awful, i forget all the specifics but one of them sounded like a gay european version of champion and seriously played for like 45 minutes. our van broke down and we left our gear in it while it got fixed except what we could grab so instead of the rental bass equipment i played out of some kid's funky french amp, it actually sounds kind of cool in the video (you can't see me but you can hear my dope low end noizes). wilson's voice sounded totally blown out by this point, but at least he still had the energy in him to shove a frenchman and start the pit. then what ensued is some of the worst european moshing (which is always awful anyway) that i've ever seen, it looks like beavis and butthead when they see a music video they like. amazing shit. 

we did OK at this show, sold some shit, later i hung out with some french tattoo artist dude who told me my arm was "beautiful", tried to get a sick free tattoo but it was a no-go. watched sin city and fell asleep on a mattress with nick iovannoni. and that was france. and all i really have to remember it by is this stupid video. enjoy.
