think of the preview for that matthew broderick/marlon brando movie at the beginning of this clip as a sort of "pre-amble" before we get to the good stuff. i don't remember anything about that fucking movie, you would think that a film where brando himself was playing a parody of his godfather character would be sort of noteworthy but i'm sure mathew broderick fucked that movie up and made it nearly unwatchable (no offense to my main man ferris bueller). i'm still pissed off about that time in eighth grade when i went to see that broderick "godzilla" movie the day it came out. holy fuck what a piece of shit.
anyway then we get to this ridiculous offer for the "Look Who's Talking" t-shirt. boy the crass commercialism of the late 80s/early 90s was really something, wasn't it? it was that magical time in america when people felt like they could sell anything... or at least they were desperately willing to try. like literally ANYTHING needed some sort of a product tie-in. this shirt is fucking thrift store gold, i'll scour every salvation army i come across in search of this shirt or crew neck in size L, and i'd wear it with pride. even though that movie is only marginally funny or whatever. oh yeah and the little kid is that creepy fuck who played GAGE in the first "pet semetary" movie, you know the kid who was like "FIRST I PWAYED WITH MOMMY NOW I'M GONNA PWAY WITH YOU" and all that shit, and hacks that old dude's face up with a scalpel. now there's a movie worth owning a crew-neck of. damn mom looks pretty cool with that shit tucked into her jeans. you know what this reminds me of? back in the day when slobber bobber (doylestown borough reference, sorry if this makes no sense to you) used to come into boston market wearing a shirt from the forgotten film of the early 90s "TALKING DIRTY AFTER DARK" that he'd cut into a greasy tank-top. BARF.
