i am a traitor

after years of branding people who own macs "gay", i buckled down and bought a new mac lap top because my windows-running PC was so prone to getting viruses, trojans, and being hacked by crash override from the 1995 film "hackers" (featuring angelina jolie at her hottest) i just couldn't take it anymore and decided to try something new. so now i have this stainless steel laptop thing and it rules... so sorry for no posts for a few days, i'm sure you give a fucking shit, but now i'm back at it. i even turned my room into a veritable WORK STATION - without the huge honkin' monitor, tower, mouse, keyboard and other bullshit clogging up my desk i have room for... my furby, comic books, butterfly knife, and a stick of deodorant. i feel like an executive when i sit here.

anyway whatever shut up, here's the video for today, courtesy of my roommate brian nowadickhead (joke copyright kurt dahl, summer of '07, coined in a fight over the ownership of an airconditioning unit). it's the STAR FOX 64 PROMO VID, courtesy of that very unbiased gaming mag of yesteryear, nintendo power:

i mean this thing is 10 minutes long so just watch it and regard nintendo's marketing strategy from back in the day when they still had some fight left in them (before they decided to make a video game system that seems to be marketed towards infants, and this coming from someone who actually has a wii in his living room and has spent hours of his life playing animal crossing for some unknown reason). i guess this came with an issue of NP back in the day, my parents didn't buy me an N64 until way late (christmas '97, i was in eighth grade and i had to choose between getting an N64 for goldeneye or a PS for final fantasy 7... at this point in my life i still had a good number of friends so i chose N64 for it's four player capabilities. little did i know a year later i would be living in america and getting beat up every day, it would have been really nice to retreat into the world of final fantasy after a long day of bullshit...) so i never really subscribed to this thing but i do remember one day hanging out in drew dockrill's basement in 8th grade listening to NOFX and reading his NP back issues when i stumbled upon a "scratch and sniff" ad for earthbound that was so disgusting it made me want to throw-up. whatever just watch the video asshole.
